William Potter Wear (1904 – May 1985) was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He married Doris Lurman Stewart Wear. His children were Adaline Wear Smyth, Elsie Wear Stockwell, Joseph Wear, Nancy Wear Polk and Priscilla Wear Ellsworth. He died in 1985.

WEAR DORIS (nee Stewart), died peacefully at her home in Cecilton MD on Feb. 8, 2003; beloved wife of the late William Potter Wear. She was the mother of Elsie Stockwell, Joseph Wear, Nancy Polk, Priscilla Ellsworth and Adaline Smyth and the grandmother of 15 and great grandmother of 12. A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of the Redeemer, Pennswood and New Gulph Rds, Bryn Mawr PA on Thursday Feb. 27th at 11 A.M.
