Doris Lurman Stewart Wear (née Stewart) (1910 – 8 February 2003) was born in Pennsylvania to Elsie Foster Cassatt Stewart and William Plunkett Stewart. She married William Potter Wear. Her children were Adaline Wear Smyth, Elsie Wear Stockwell, Joseph Wear, Nancy Wear Polk and Priscilla Wear Ellsworth. She died in 2003, in Cecilton, Cecil County, Maryland.

WEAR DORIS (nee Stewart), died peacefully at her home in Cecilton MD on Feb. 8, 2003; beloved wife of the late William Potter Wear. She was the mother of Elsie Stockwell, Joseph Wear, Nancy Polk, Priscilla Ellsworth and Adaline Smyth and the grandmother of 15 and great grandmother of 12. A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of the Redeemer, Pennswood and New Gulph Rds, Bryn Mawr PA on Thursday Feb. 27th at 11 A.M.
