Carolyn Joyce Shelton, 85, Crawfordsville, died Sunday, May 26, 2019, at Ben Hur Health and Rehabilitation after a long illness. She was born January 1, 1934 in Crawfordsville and adopted by Louis and Helen Parker. As a child, she lived in several cities in Indiana and Illinois as her father worked for the U.S. government. Her family finally settled back in Montgomery County in the late '40s. In February 1952, she married Laurence P. Shelton, the love of her life, who preceded her in death after over 65 years together. … She is survived by her sons Jim (Jane) and Sam (Cathy), six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
