Eleanor Frances Thornhill was born in 1844. She was the daughter of Thomas Thornhill and Honoria Forester. She married Captain Arthur Watson de Capell Brooke, son of Sir William de Capell Brooke, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Catherine Watson, on 3 August 1865. She died on 26 October 1909. From 3 August 1865, her married name became de Capell Brooke.
