George Fowle
George Fowle (1610 – 19 September 1682) was born in England. His child was Hannah (Fowle) Ruggles. He died in 1682, in Charlestown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.

LOCKED 2026-10-19 as father of hannah-fowle-ruggles: Wyman 1879 (Charlestown) lists 'i. Hannah, m. Samuel Ruggles, 1654-5' first among his issue; Bailey 1896 and Bond 1860 call her 'the only daughter of George Fowle'; Cutter 1910 says he brought wife Mary, daughter Hannah and son John from England. Tanner; freeman 14 Mar 1638/9; Concord, then Charlestown by 1648; d. Charlestown 19 Sep 1682 ae 72; will 11 Mar 1681/2 (pro. 3 Oct 1682) devised to sons. Wife Mary d. 15 Feb 1676/7 ae 63 (maiden unknown) - LEAD as Hannah's mother (not linked: Hannah b. c.1635 in England, no record names her mother). FALSE LEAD RULED OUT: Savage vol.2 p.192 guessed Hannah/'Ann' was dau. of George's son John; but Capt. John Fowle was ae 34 in 1671 (b. c.1637), m. Anna Carter 1658/9, so could not father a 1654 bride. Other children (not ancestors): John, Mary, Peter, James, Mary, Abraham, Zechariah, Isaac (m. Beriah Bright), Jacob, Elizabeth.
