He had: Gershom Hills, born in Charlestown, Mass., July 7, 1639, and married Elizabeth Chadwick. He lived in Malden, Mass., and had: Sarah Hills, married John Chaffe (16). Abigail Hills, married Joseph Chaffe (18)." Same book #16: heirs of Gershom Hills quitclaimed land in Malden (1721) "given to Gershom Hills by his father, Joseph Hills of Newbury, Mass., September 10, 1677." (later called Hull), some time between 1639 and 1646, and died in Swansea, Mass., October 28, 1694. He married there, December 8, 1670, Annis, daughter of Richard Martin of Rehoboth, Mass. She died in Barrington, Mass. (formerly Swansea), probably early in March, 1729-30." Children born in Swansea: "15 i Mary ... + 16 ii John Chaffe, born December 16, 1673; married (1) Sarah Hills; (2) Elizabeth Hayward. + 17 iii Mary ... + 18 iv Joseph Chaffe, born February 6, 1677; married (1) Abigail Hills; (2) Jemima Chadwick ..."
