Elder John Whipple
Elder John Whipple (died 30 June 1669) is part of the Whipple family recorded on Mayflower.family. His children were Capt. John Whipple and Sarah (Whipple) Goodhue. He died in 1669.

Will of Elder John Whipple of Ipswich, dated 10 May 1669, proved 28 Sep 1669 (transcribed, Marshall Genealogy, from Holman, Pillsbury Ancestry p. 46-47): "... unto Susanna Worth of Newbery my Eldest daughter thirty pounds ... Mary Stone twenty pounds ... Item ... give unto my daughter Sarah Goodhue twenty pounds ... unto Anthony Potter my son in law ... unto Jennet my beloved Wife ... my son John Whipple the sole executor." Goodhue Gen. (1891) Family 2: Joseph Goodhue "mar. Sarah Whipple, daughter of Elder John Whipple" 13 Jul 1661; Appendix A: "Sarah Goodhue was the youngest daughter of Elder John Whipple." Mother NOT locked: Goodhue Gen. says "John Whipple and Sarah his wife" (1661), Whipple one-name database says Susanna Clarke (m. 1621) and that the Sarah d. 1658 was probably the nephew's wife.

Matthew Whipple and his brother Elder John Whipple, had each a son John. The son of Matthew was a lieutenant, and the son of Elder John was called Jr., Colonel, and Captain ... John Jr., son of Elder John Whipple married first Martha Reyner, and had children Susan etc.
